    Receiver for every TV?

My dad gets Cox cable. He has a Tivo HD and 3 Vizio LCDs. These small Vizios get channels 1-100 only; no CNN HD , no TNT HD, no HBO, etc, but he's fine and doesn't want the boxes.

Verizon insists he'll need a receiver for every TV. I know from others that the Tivo HD will work fine. Why won't the Vizio TVs show the channels they show on Cox? Or is Verizon rep wrong?

Fios is Fiber Optics to the house and is a all digital system, AFAIK you must use a digital Set top box at every TV. Verizon might broadcast some Clear QAM channels but it will most likely just be local channels and a few PEG(Public, Education, Government) channels. Verizon wants you to get a box on every TV so you have access to the On Demand library that they offer.
