    Phone software updates

I have a Motorola V9M that is out of warranty but could use the latest software update. The phone presently has Pars_01.15.0d. I understand that a new version called PARS_01.30.0 is available. Will the Verizon store do it for me. is it worth to have it done? Any improvements with the newer version? Moto update will no longer update the software when out of warranty.
    Thanks you folks are great.

Unfortunately, Motorola's software updater will not update when a phone is out of warranty. You'd have better luck downloading RSDlite and doing it yourself.

The only advantages to the new firmware:

    -Optional list view display theme
-Ability to disable the missed call and low battery reminders

Other than that, I don't think there are any significant changes. If I remember correctly, the old firmware allowed a 4 GB MicroSD while the new firmware only allows a 2 GB.
A phone is only fun when you can modify it anyway you please.

The Verizon UI....unhackable? I think not

Well as i remember i had this phone not to long ago and i remember that i had mine updated thru msu, i had to put the phone in bootloader mode by pressing the * and # button and the pressing the on button, as soon as you get a blue screen connect it to msu and just follow the steps, good luck
