Wipe Rogers software for Bell use?

Well, I recently purchased and unlocked a Rogers-branded Bold 9000 for use on the Bell network. I'm wondering if I should wipe the device and start fresh with Bell software?

For starters, I would love to get rid of the Rogers boot-up screen (in fact, I would prefer to debrand the phone completely). More importantly, I wonder if the Rogers software is what is causing my Bold to appear to roam on the Bell network.

    Any suggestions?

You can change it, but not with legal software, and the chances of permanently bricking the device are extremely high. Just leave the boot screen as is.

Any provider's OS will work on the device, as long as you select the proper device, i.e. 9000. Be sure to delete the vendor .xml file before loading another providers OS onto the device.

If you do as Heavy Fluid suggested, that triangle should no longer appear.

If you unlock your phone correctly, that triangle shouldn't be there.
