assuming you mean the 9000...don't wait. upgrade now, from a different carrier.

if you're waiting for the official release from Rogers, someone on here can maybe give you a rough estimate when it MIGHT be released, but I don't think anyone knows for sure.

I honestly wouldn't hold my breath either. The best os that I've seen for the bold 9000, is the Wind Hellas 5.0 os, very fast and stable. I'm using it now on my 9000.

Honestly, I gave up waiting and installed the FW from Bell and Wind.

No problems except skip Bell's f/w...horrible battery life.

It’s very fast and stable, a lot of improvements, but still suffers from memory leaks sadly

But take the advice from the posters above just get another carriers OS PM me if you need some help with it.

I upgraded to the Azercell 5.0 firmware on my 9000 and so far I love it. The look is much improved, it's faster, battery life seems better, I seem to have more memory, the browser is better + faster, and I've not had a single problem yet. The only thing that I have found missing is the Alt+Enter phone lock key combination I used so often in 4.6, but I can do without it...just use the Mute button instead or just holster it. You can apparently still lock the phone if you assign a password.

The two reasons I went with the Azercell over the Wind Hellas are that it was a newer version and from what people over at Crackberry.com were saying, it is an improvement.

    +1 for Azercell 5.0.0.592 OS

I had horrendously choppy calls with the Wind Hellas 5.0.0.509 OS and that was completely fixed with the Azercell OS.

I'm also using a Rogers BB 9000 (albeit unlocked).

I also am using the Wind Hellas 5.0.0.509 OS after getting tired of waiting for Rogers to release their own OS 5. It definitely is a huge improvement over 4.6 in pretty much every way. I did, however, experience the choppy call issues waqqas31 mentioned. They're not always there but are there roughly 20% of the time and can be quite annoying. I'm downloading the Azercell version right now.

I have both a 9700 running 5.0 O/S, and a 9000 on 4.6. I'm on the 9000 right now and it's sux to have 4.6, when you've tasted 5.0. I tried 5.0.411 on the 9000, but that didn't last too long because of the choppy calls and the memory leak, so I downgraded 4.6 and all is fine again. I want 5.0 but I think I'll wait until Robbers gets their act in gear. After so many beta releases from all the other carriers, I'm sure Rogers will get it right when they release it. (or at least I'm hoping)

Get the Azercell firmware, you won't regret it! I was trying to hold out for AT&T to release 5.0 too, but I am so glad I took a chance on this version. My phone is like new again...actually better than it was when it was new. Everything just feels so much faster/better. Boot times are quicker, Slacker radio's interface is more responsive, Voice Activated Dialing software is much much improved, Not a single random lockup yet (was pretty frequent on the AT&T 4.6 firmware I was previously running), it rocks!

Is the Azercell FW still the best one you can get?
