When will we be able to bundle Fido w/ Rogers services?

I've heard some people have done it in the past, but whenever I ask, it can't be done.

Are we ever going to be able to easily do this? Same company, same billing system, etc. Why not make it happen?

    Funny (not really) story..

I get a call from Rogers asking me if I wanted to bundle my services. They specifically told me that I should bundle my Fido account with Rogers because they have the same billing system. She instructed me to call Fido to start the process.

Call Fido, they say it's impossible.

Call Rogers, they say it's possible, call Fido back.

Avoid anymore calls and contact Rogers social media team on Twitter.

    Turns out it's not possible.

its not possible. used to be for a short time, but then they started running fido as the "discount" brand, and made sure they were completely seperate from a market standpoint, and rogers was the premium brand.

and pls people don't bother arguing with me on wether fido is the discount brand or why you think fido is better, as I don't care. that's just one of their main reasons...2 brands, different markets.

What is the policy for those who did bundle Fido?

We previously had BCB with cable and internet getting 10% off. When it was available for that short period, we added our Fido phones, but by that time the 2 Rogers services was down to 5%, so the Fido phones brought us back to 10%. Last summer, we finally ditched Bell in favor of Rogers Home Phone. Shortly thereafter (next bill) I saw they hadn't increased our discount, so I called only to be told that the home phone plan we chose was not eligible because it already had savings built in [wasn't told this at sign-up, BTW] So we are still at 10% [3 services-cable,internet,fido] - I read a post here that if you have the Fido discount, you get to keep it.

If we switch our home phone value pack ($33.95) to basic+6 options ($41.95), would we then get the 15% on ALL (4 services), or would making any changes cause us to be re-evaluated such that we still only have 3 Rogers services (since Fido is no longer eligible) and we'd still get just the 10% [cable, internet, homephone]?

The Home Phone Value Plans are BCB eligible but not discountable. You should be
getting 15% off your other services. I would be calling back and asking about it ...

I was told the discontinued the Fido with the bundle as there were too many billing issues. anyone who had it were grandfathered.

lol... i find that hard to believe seeing as it's all the same billing system. i suppose the grandfathered people continue to have billing issues? not likely.

but hey, what can you do.. they saw how much they would be losing by allowing fido customers to bundle and they decided to discontinue it.

It's better to try to get a retention deal on each service, it works out to be a much better deal.

    I'm getting from Rogers:
    30% off internet (own modem)
20% of TV + free HD box rental (would be $12-$13/m)

Cell is with Telus, not a set discount % but $14/m in credits. It's not the greatest deal but its good considering how little Telus gets from me each month

From what I've read, retention deals aren't combined with bundle discount, a lucky few somehow got it apparently

I got a letter several months ago saying my Fido + Rogers bundle is no longer valid and it would be terminated.

It hasn't been terminated as of yet. In fact, I just negotiated a new retentions contract (IMO good but not stellar, but then again I had a fair amount of time left on my old contract), but to my surprise I am supposedly still going to be getting my 5% bundle discount. We'll see. I have Rogers cable and Fido wireless and nothing else from Rogers.

I guess I've been grandfathered, despite the letter I got?
