Yup we keep hearing it is "illegal" somehow but this is an obvious lie
Noone ever provides a link to any law or case where this is stated

At least 2 Canadian carriers still listing in my personal experience

And any CSR at a carrier can easily see incoming numbers (heck Bell used to have an app called CQS that even used to show blocked caller ID until they discontinued it)

Not at Rogers/Fido they can't numbers show up as Incoming the same as the bill shows. No way around it.

Care to provide the name of these carriers?

Care to explain how this could be possible?

Rogers used to show incoming numbers on bill
But my last phone with them was an analog so it has been awhile

Either way my issue is with those who claim it is "illegal"

How the program worked? No idea whatsoever... It was one of those special cherries that most of the call centre reps got and gave to all their friends though
Management used to scream out NEVER release info to clients but again I say it is a policy not a legal thing

Even on Rogers system you know that info is available (even if just hidden)
After all if it wasn't available then how does your FAB5 work even though number is blocked

Yes, incoming source numbers/IP Addresses are available, but not accessible to frontline agents...

...And to extract this info, you need a Court Order + a letter send to Fido/Rogers head office....

This should close the subject now.

I worked there 11 years and in that 11 years the incoming numbers were never on the bills.
