US Calling Does Not Work for Many Numbers

Numbers in LA County, Wisconsin, Kansas City, do not work.

Land lines, and mobile numbers are unreachable. SMS works but not voice. Finally got a rep to admit this on the phone this morning. Blatant false advertising by WIND. No resolution time in sight.

That can't be good. So you are saying you are here (canada) somewhere in a WIND home zone and you can't dial out to a US number?

Bit of an embellishment of the facts isn't it? False advertising? Oh please.

Maybe you meant to say "mistake" instead?

this sounds like another case of the translation tables missing NXX's...

just like the cases of certain numbers not being reachable in Toronto...

There are issues. I can give you a list of phone numbers that work, and some that don't.

VoIP providers tend to open up exchanges so quickly, their availability doesn't get into the general PSTN database fast enough...So often the first few people on the exchange experience situations where others can't reach them...

Sounds like WIND has some NXX updates to post.
    Cheeri'o...
    Frankie...

Please Note: I do not work for Bell. I also do not work for any wireless retail outlet.
Do not ask me about promotions or offers from wireless providers.

Still no fix. WIND is asking me to report every non working number, I don't have time for this. What a load of crap.

OK, understood, but I don't think the unreachable numbers are isolated to VOIP providers.

No but it could be exacerbating matters...

What are the areacode+excange+first of the four digits for some of them?
    ie: 201-799-1XXX

Mobilicity is going to have to do some closed beta testing of their service if they don't want any of these problems.
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband.

Don't send me PMs for questions that can be asked publicly.
