    Google contact groups on iPhone

I'm seeing if I can use Gmail set up as exchange on my iPhone as a replacement for the MobileMe service. Email and calendar work great, but contacts not so much. I can't seem to select which contact groups to sync; it pulls from all contacts and that's a very bad thing. Has anyone had any luck getting groups to show up as groups, and if so how have you done it?

No, actually, it pulls from the "My Contacts" group in Google Contacts. "My Contacts" is different from "All Contacts."

Sadly, no, I have not heard of any way to get groups that you have created to show up on the iPhone. I'm sure Google will add that functionality soon.

Same here, I think Google is still trying to figure out this one.

does MS outlook support syncing with groups, or at the very least, importing groups from gmail? I've been using outlook express to synchronize with (well, mainly just backup) my blackberry but I always do it manually to be safe. Unfortunately groups are lost in those backups. It's better than no backup at all.
