    Question about Data usage

I have had alltel for about 9 years. I got assimilated in to the VZ family when I really didn't want to.. I only went because of the Rev A tower 1/8 of a mile from my house.

    But here's the question
I downloaded torrents on my Htc touch pro.. And used a lot a data. I haven't did this since we switched to VZ. Someone told me I had a 5gb cap on my data now. I was curious if this was true? I still have my alltel contract and my alltel phone. I don't want to download stuff and go over the 5 gb limit and be charged a butt load. Which sucks cause I get some decent speed from that tower behind me. I get over 200k/bs sometimes.

As I understand it, since you are still on your Alltel plan, you are still governed by the Alltel TOS, which means no cap. For now, anyway... I wouldn't expect it to last forever though.

As long as you have the alltel phone = alltel features.

Verizon phone will mean verizon features and 5gb cap.

Verizon smartphone data is unlimited. Its the tethering and aircards/mifi that has the 5 gb cap.
