I was able to get a 9700 the other night for $350 outright. Do I have a chance at getting the rebate? If so, where can I find the rebate form?

Got mine at the local AT&T store for $350 + Tax out the door, and even told them I was giving it to someone else as a gift. No problems here, but I do already have a BB data plan on my account.

I would like to know, however, if there's any way to weasel into the rebate, as well!

Didn't try the rebate but I bought 5 which I sold for about $500 each. So quick $100/ea profit for me after expenses.

Is this deal still going on? I may want to buy one to use along side my iPhone 3GS, but I don't want to have to pay the $18 activation fee and all of that. Is it possible just to buy the phone, take it home, put my SIM in it and add the BB data plan?

    Wait a minute...

If you put your SIM into the AT&T 9700 Bold, wouldn't the computers or systems automatically add the data package?

No. I did that last night and I kept my iPhone data package. I have to call AT&T to switch them. Maybe if I used the BB long enough, it may switch, but as long as I'm paying $30/month, it may not.

Is this deal in all stores? Or just certain areas? $350 for a no commitment 9700 sounds cheap!

Not anymore, at least not at our indirect location. We're back up to about $425 w/o contract, before rebate.
