Ummm... Where was anything "official" said that confirmed the 5800? All I've seen is rumors and speculation (a.k.a. wishful thinking)?

And by the way... it's the middle of November now.

Not what we were talking about. We were talking about the V20 N97 update that some speculation/rumors said would be released for the 5800 as well.

As for the "normal" 5800 firmware, it's up to v31 now. V30 is old already.

Of course NAM is only on v21 unless you change your product code, in which case you can get v31.2.008 on NAM. I currently have that on my NAM, and other than a few minor bug fixes and a fairly useless IM app, the only real improvement from v21 is that Ovi Maps 3 is now in firmware and doesn't eat up 6MB of phone memory.

Was it ever official that 5800 would get this update?

Seeing as the 5800 already has v31 and that doesn't have kinetic scrolling...nope.

No, but I believe the 5800 NAVI edition has it, as does most of the new inferior Xpressmusic phones.... I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they all do so it's not unreasonable to think it.

s60 is more interconnected in its apps.

like u can get a note into a to do list etc

where as in android u dl all the apps u want like a separate notepad, todo list, and they have no interaction

Does anyone have a problem using the sync program that comes with PC Suite with their N97 on Windows 7?

I'd guess that this firmware hope for the 5800 is dead. It was never official in the first place, but some blogger made it up and the whole internet followed suit.

Pretty much. I just wish they would keep NAM in sync with the rest of the world. I don't really see why we should be 2 - 3 firmware revisions behind.

Although in this case it's not a huge deal, since v21 is pretty solid, and the improvements in v30 & v31 are minimal. Still annoying, though...
