    Michigan hold over market

    Went to an Alltel/Verizon (sold both brands) store Saturday to look at a new tour to see if i would like it more than my curve.
    When the rep pulled up my account, it came up as a held over market??
    my zip is 49677 and phone number is 231-679-xxxx
    are we alltel , verizon or what....

    I am also in the Michigan hold over market. Since Verizon has to divest their own assets in this area before they can integrate the Alltel customers, it will have to wait until the sale to AT&T is approved by the Justice Dept. and the FCC. I don't expect anything to happen until after the first of the year. It is also complicated by the fact AT&T is attempting to buy Centennial Wireless in this market.
