Hey thank you for sharing but is there anyway you could please private message me the plan code if you don't mind sharing that $55 dollar plan. I called fido several times they confirmed that they have the $75 plan but they can not find even find the $55 6gb pulse plan. They said they are happy to give me that plan if I can get a plan code as they could not find it. I would really appreciate that.

    Thanks in advance

Sorry - I don't see anything resembling a plan code on either my app or online. I actually didn't ask for It. I asked for the $75 plan. They said I wasn't eligible but then they offered me the $55.00 plan. I have no idea what the code was.
I'm not telling you anything that you can't just google for yourself

    Here are the details.
Basically I cancelled the plan change coming up in two days as I got additional 2gb data on my exiting 60$ 6gb Boxing Day plan for two years.

So after being denied these plans here today I get an sms offering me free 1 GB data for a year. While not as good as the $55 plan but i now have something pretty close.

What's the latest Black Friday offers, other than what's on the site. Telus is working hard to bring me over, but I really like Fido!!!

Hey All - Question for you. I'm currently using Freedom Mobile. It's a decent plan/phone if you're in the Lower Mainland - at least, I have no complaints. However I will be moving to Nanaimo and they do not have service there. I've got a second phone that is on Fido and have been a customer for 10+ years. The plan is 10gb for an outrageous amount (not the promos they were running in Dec/Jan).

I'd like to see if they would reduce the monthly fee to what they were offering.

I'd like to get a second line (and port my number) so that I can use the phone in Nanaimo (and cancel my Freedom plan).

What is the best way to approach Fido when I call? I would not be routed to retentions and I can't really bluff as I won't go through with it. I'm frankly happy with Fido but not with what I'm paying on the 10gb plan and want a similar plan but don't want to spend that much.

My experience is that they don’t do a ton of retentions style negotiations - not like the good old days. But what I did was tell them what I needed and what I wanted and they created it . Then I went to the 10 for 60 after that . But they were pretty good about fitting a plan for what I needed

Just got a call from their "loyalty" dept trying to do a winback. I think it's been a year or maybe a little more since I left. I'll consider their offer. I am currently with koodo on the $60/10GB plan. The offered $52.50 fo 10GB, otherwise identical plan, but it goes to $70 after 2 years.

I'd save ~$100 a year but would have to remember to cancel/port/retentions before I get dinged the full price in 2 years. And it would mean being back in the Rogers family, which always feels a little dirty.

Looks like hardly anyone is posting here now.
I called into Fido this morning to see what the best offer I could get is since I'm on the $50 5GB plan.
Mentioned the Public Mobile migration deal ($35 5GB and $40 8GB) to Koodo

    They offered the following:
    Fido Pulse 2+2GB - small
    bonus data 5GB (+3GB & +2GB for 2 yrs)
    = $65 - 25% off (2 yrs) = $48.75

I'd just have to remember to look at new deals in two years before the data & credits expire.

Thanks for posting! This used to be the premiere site for stuff like this but places like red Canadian flag deals has taken over.

    Retentions is dead, dead, dead.

Call in and put in your post-dated cancellation request, say for 2 weeks ahead. Wait for winback or call the winback number.

Well, this place is a ghost town there days. Anyway, this is what I was offered by winback.

    Large tab
    X 64GB $399, less $500 credit = -$101
    $80 less 25% off = $60\5GB + 3GB
    5 hours Fido Bytes

    or on medium tab:
    X 64GB $549 less $500 credit = $49
    $70 - 25% = $52.50/4GB + 1000 international LD minutes
    5 hours Fido Bytes

    Large tab
    XS Max 64GB $659 - $500 credit = $159
    XS Max 256GB, $859 -$500 credit = $359
    $67.50\5GB + 3Gb bonus
    5 hours Fido Bytes

Waived all fees (activation, SIM, etc).

Ended up taking the bolded options.

Yeah it's pretty quiet in here nowadays.
Changed my plan with Fido again, I now have:

    BYOP Plan:
    6GB + bonus data (3GB + 2 GB) = $50/mo
Only drawback is after 1 year the plan becomes $60/mo and after the 2nd year I lose the 3GB bonus data

    Was also offered a 10GB + bonus data (3GB + 2 GB) = $70/mo
The drawback of this plan is that I would lose the 3GB bonus data after 2 years.

    Just saw this on RedFlagDeals:

BYOD - $60/month for Unlimited Canada Wide Talk/Text plan with 15GB of NON-SHAREABLE Data.

    Confirmed to work for:
    - Fido
    - Rogers (Includes Roam Like Home)

Confirmed by members in BC, Alberta and Ontario. Some members have claimed that they were able to pay off their tabs to get this plan.

NOTE: The key is to simply ask for a "Competite Match Plan" in relation to the Freedom Mobile $50/15gb plan. Agents will offer this plan if you begin the conversation as such.

    Yet to be confirmed:
    - Telus
    - Bell

    Does not work for:
    - Virgin (see post 149 or 218)
    - Koodo (See post 212) - although one member got $10 off their line (post 151)

    FIDO PLAN DETAILS:
    - Unlimited Canada-wide anytime calls
    - Data overage protection ( Data is paused when you reach your data limit )
    - 15GB
    - Unlimited text/picture/video msgs from Canada to Canadian, U.S. and international cells
    - Call Display (Number only)
    - Mini Voicemail (max 3 msgs, can be upgraded to 35 msgs)
    - Circle Calling
    - Fido Roam
    - Fido XTRA
    - Conference calling
    - 5 FREE hours of data (1 hour, 5 times per billing cycle) with Data Bytes

    ROGERS PLAN DETAILS:
    - 15GB data
    - Unlimited Canada-wide calling
    - Unlimited Canada-wide sent & received text, picture & Vdeio messages
    - Call Display with Name Display
    - Enhanced Voicemail
    - 2500 Call forwarding minutes
    - Conference Calling
    - Call Waiting
    - Regular Data after 15 GB, but it's $20 per GB.
