No O2 Signal in Canada Calgary

Iv got an unlocked motorola v620 quad band phone and i am roaming in canada. But my O2 Contract sim card cant pick up any network, just says emergency calls only! although it does from time to time pick up Rogers Wireless network but then almost instantly loses it again. Iv tried a t-mobile sim card in it and it work perfectly fine. Is there anything i can do? or does anybody know why its not working?

Have you tried manually selecting Rogers Wireless? I ask because your phone may be switching over to the Bell & Telus networks that are being tested for a launch next year (see Canadian Wireless Industry threads).

Maybe O2 does have a problem though, because I have noticed myself that my Mobal World SIM (it is a special MVNO for travelling Americans & Canadians that uses a postpaid O2 UK account) will not register on any network here in SE Pennsylvania as of about 12 hours ago. Emergency calls will function fine and I do clearly see that I have a signal, but nothing else.
