Looking for software to look at sons SMS on 650

Just gave my son my old 650, I want to read his texts, plain and simple, and get his call logs. He guards the phone with his life and I need to be stealthy about it.

Any suggestions? I have physical access to the phone, otherwise after today, i wont chances are.

If he uses hotsync and you can get to his computer, look in the C:\Program Files\Palm\USERNAMEHERE\Backup folder and pull out two files: PhoneCallDB.PDB and Messages_Database.PDB. You can open them with a program called TreoDesktop. There are also several folder sync programs that can sync this folder or just what ever files you pick every time they're updated. Set the folder or files to sync to a folder on your computer. If he doesn't use hotsync, then you're really limited. You could, depending on your carrier, have all incoming text forwarded to an email address or your phone. This has to be done from his phone though. Send a text to 8888 containing "cc xxx-xxx-xxxx or cc [email protected]". Send "c only" plus email or phone to cancel this. This only works with incoming though. Hope that helps somewhat.

Try: "Son I pay for your phone, so let me see it."

At least you're not breaking his trust then. :-/

yeah, the best solution here is honest straighforward talk, not sneaking around to look at his phone. you may encounter resistance, asking him straightforwardly, but you'll get more if he finds out that you did it without his knowledge

If you have Verizon Wireless and have created an online account, the call log will be available online. It can be copied to Excel and sorted and massaged to indicate most popular numbers etc. There may be a lag time of a day or so before the call shows up on the log.
