Can you sync outlook to gmail and then to the pre? Palm was also supposed to provide a one-time sync online.

This app to sync with outlook is either in the app store or coming soon

    http://www.chapura.com/pm_standard_pre.php

The Outlook synchronization software bundled with over 25 million Palm OS handhelds is now available for Palm® Pre™! Chapura® PocketMirror® is the Microsoft® Outlook® synchronization solution for Palm Pre. Complete two-way synchronization transfers essential information between Outlook Contacts and Calendar and the corresponding Pre applications. And like Pre, no cables are needed. PocketMirror synchronizes over the local Wi-Fi network. Personal information is never stored or passed through the internet; this is a direct synchronization between the PC and Pre over the local Wi-Fi network. With PocketMirror, you can take your Outlook information anywhere you go to be organized and on schedule.

Yes you can import Outlook CSV file into gmail and then use the synergy sync to sync to gmail.

Go Contacts, Preferences & Accounts, Add Another Account and add the gmail account there. Then select Sync Now. You can also sync to Facebook and MS exchange.

This is my first Palm, so I'm still trying to figure out how to sync my Outlook to the Palm Desktop app.

Those of you needing to get contacts from outlook:

    Works perfectly

    My issues:

Backlight bleed and a yellow spot right next to the charger
Extreme charging heat (even with the 1.02 update)
Craptacular battery life when instant messenger is running or I'm doing heavy browsing

Other than that I love it.

Open up the messaging app and hit "Buddies"
Click on "Available" and an icon with pop up with a sign off option.

    Hi!

I'm trying to transfer my iCal and address book from my mac. I already did everything it ask me to do. (this is the 4th time now)

However, I only get few address and no iCal on my Pre. Every so often it will tell me it's ready to transfer, but nothing gets transferred.

    Please help me?

    Thanks!
    James

It wasn't in the release notes, so I'm guessing the answer is no, but does 1.0.2 fix the AIM-draining-battery problem? I've put off doing anything with AIM or GTalk because of the known issue with those apps eating battery power like nobody's business.

A thing I noticed is that my phone will just automatically dial someone at times when I open the phone app. Also is there a way to sync with Entourage on a Mac?

syncing using a csv file from my phone to outlook to pre does the same thing. contact info is saved as a note not a number or email adress
