While your Nokia does have wi-fi, it lacks the UMA feature which is needed to make wi-fi calls. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it has to be a T-Mobile branded UMA-capable phone for it to work as well.

I was able to get retentions to add the UMAUFTSP code to my 2 lines on my family plan. However, she told me that it wasn't free but had a $4.99 monthly fee (even though I didn't give her the other code -- the UMAHSHFT -- mentioned earlier in this thread.

When I checked on mytmobile, I see the "T-Mobile Hotspot" with ''Unlimited Minutes Remaining," so it looks like it was added successfully.

However, when I clicked on my plan and my services tabs, I don't see mention of the Hotspot service nor see any mention of a $4.99 monthly fee.

Could it be that although the rep sees the fee as $4.99/mn, when added, there is actually no fee? Or is it more likely that she added the UMAHSHFT code (which I never mentioned to her)?

Yes... the rep sees the charge - but there will be no fee on the bill.

I love my free [email protected] service!!!!!
T-Mobile. Connecting you when you need it most... disconnecting you when you need to connect with God's beautiful creation! Service is great in cities and highways, but in rural areas they leave you with just your surroundings. I encourage you to get T-Mobile, disconnect for a while!

I am glad that God is not like cell phone coverage. He does not hide behind mountains or loose us down long windy roads. The Lord levels mountains, and He makes our paths straight!

I just got my first bill after the rep added the code, and it shows I was charged $4.99 after all -- split up between my four lines -- even though I gave him the code for the free feature.

That's annoying. That $4.99 feature or whatever you call it still does not show up when I log into my tmobile account online. Wondering how to fix this to get the free feature.

She went as far as to try and add it on again but the system said the feature already exist. Has anyone checked your account online and actually seen it listed in services?
For me it only lists under the usage details - not under ''services''. Also on the paper bill it shows up line-by-line as ''HS @Home UL FTS Promo''.

That is definitely oddity. Possibly they fixed this loophole... not sure. I'll check my next bill and report back. Although the last three bills have been no charge.

Checked my last bill - did not get charged. The rep probably set your account up with the billable feature code...

So on my paper bill, under "Account Service Detail For Subscriber (xxx) xxx-xxxx," under the heading "Available Service," the feature is identified as "[email protected] FT."

Under the heading "Montly Recurring Charges" found lower on the same page, there's the entry: "Partial monthly charge for [email protected] FT from 7/28/09 to 8/05/09 $1.33"

Called talked to regular customer service, with no luck. Called back and talked to a very rude account specialist who initially refused to try to reenter the UMAUFTSP code, then grudgingly (pretended) to enter it and claimed that it was a "dealer code" that didn't work. She proceeded to claim that they had "given" me a preferential plan (not really, it was a grandfathered plan that i had been with since 2004) and that they couldn't do anything else.

So I asked her to pull the feature and also proceeded to cancel the two new lines of service that I had opened up. Oh well.

Okay, then you do not have the same feature I have. Since mine is identified as ''HS @Home UL FTS Promo" (< verbatum off bill)

So your ''[email protected] FT'' is the old $4.99 FamilyTalk [email protected] feature (that is now like $20 or something)...

My ''HS @Home UL FTS Promo'' is the actual $0.00 [email protected] Unlimited FamilyTime Share Promo. Your ''[email protected] FT'' is the regular [email protected] FamilyTime feature just at the $4.99 pricepoint.

Not sure why we are getting different results with this code though... hrm...

i give up at this point. I'm annoyed with Tmobile about their increase in overage fees and paper statement fees, and for messing up my last bill, and now with their handling of this. But i'll stick with them until AT&T does better with their pricing...

I first had it added on two lines when this thread first opened up.... then recently I opened a new line and they added the free myfave and the free hotspot just today with no issues

I also tried to add the Hotspot freebie thing, they wouldn't let me. Claimed it went with the $9.99 Hotspot plan
