Cool After moving to Nextel, things I miss about T-Mobile

I still have T-Mobile, but I also have Nextel, and there are some things that I do miss about T-Mobile.

    1) I miss the cool phones
    2) Battery life on GSM phones are much better
    3) Text messaging (not web based, if the web is busy, then its hard to text)
    4) AOL IM through SMS
    5) Call quality on GSM sounds better
    6) 24/7 customer service

Nextel does have its good points
    1) Free incoming calls ( I have racked up just a little over a thousand of incoming minutes)
    2) Their web packages are good. Basic web (unlimited), AOL IM, Address book, and unlimited web based sms, and 60 bonus minutes for 10 dollars a month more.

If T-Mobile had free incoming plans....I am making the switch again.

I would love a free incoming plan.. I had the original free incoming from nextel (the one that wasn't a ripoff) but now I'm using the breakthrough 10000 also they lowered the amount of extra minutes you get it used to be 100... they slowly cut back on value and try to make it look better when they do gotta love free incoming though.. do you use direct connect a lot?.. also a great way to save money if you've got a lot of friends with nextel.. and its fun

Yeah, I read in the Nextel forum that they use to give 100 bonus minutes. Yes it sucks, but im happy to have my 60 bonus minutes still :-). I know very few people with nextel so the Direct Connect feauture is not important to me. But, I think that the free incoming plan is not a ripp-off.

    460 anytime minutes (400+60 bonus)
    Free incoming calls
    Nights and Weekends
    Unlimited basic web
    Unlimited two way messages
    AOL IM
    Address book

    For 69.99.

    I made the opposite switch!

    flatmobileboy,
I also now have t-mobile and nextel. As a matterfact, I have the exact same Nextel plan as you do. I was and will always be a loyal Nextel man but I had to get the Sidekick. I have had the Sidekick since friday and I must say im not as happy as I thought I would be. b4 I had the SK, I had a verizon two-way. the sms service was awesome. T-mobiles sms has been wack to me so far. but the web browser is off the hook. also the signal is not as good as Nextel where I am in Michigan. Also, the free incoming plan is the best cellular plan available right now. hands down

I made the switch from Nextel to TMO about 9 months ago. Haven't missed a thing yet. I was even on an employee plan. I had three phones and they all had such poor quality that I thought I was talking to people on the Death Star.

Okay, I miss one thing. Their local offices had employees that actually knew something and a service center at the same location.

I think most straight guys would do her voluntarily, even if they didn't get any extra coverage for it.
