I Put Music On The Samsung MyShot!

I have figured out how to get music on the Samsung MyShot without a data cable. I don't know if anyone was aware they could do this so I'm going to let everyone know. This is what I did:

**Make sure you do this legally. Don't put copyrighted music or audio on your phone!!**

**Make sure you do this legally. Don't put copyrighted music or audio on your phone!!**

**Make sure you do this legally. Don't put copyrighted music or audio on your phone!!**

I found audio that was in MP3 format. I then used Audacity to delete most of the audio. That, of course, made the file smaller. Then I was able to export it as MP3 to my Desktop. I then went on my email and set it as an attachment. Then I typed in [email protected] and sent it. A few seconds later my phone downloaded it and I was able to play it! Just remember to save it to My Sounds or when you delete your Inbox it will be deleted.

    STEP BY STEP:

    1) Find audio and convert it to MP3 format. I'm sure you will find programs and services that will do this for you.

    2) Save the MP3 file to your desktop or other location that you can remember.

    3) Download and install Audacity.

    4) Download lame_enc.dll from http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/libmp3lame-win-3.98.2.zip .

    5) Extract files downloaded.

    6) Drag and drop lame_enc.dll to the desktop.

    7) Run Audacity.

    8) Click File and then Open.

    9) Select the MP3 file that is on your desktop.

    10) Delete most of the song. Keep less than 30 seconds.

    11) Click File and then Export As MP3. It will then ask where lame_enc.dll is located. It will give you the option to find the file manually. Do that. Look for lame_enc.dll on your desktop and click Open. It will then save the edited file to your desktop and ask you for information about the song. This is not necessary. You may just click OK if you'd like to skip that part.

    12) Log in to your email.

    13) For the email address type [email protected]

    14) Attach the edited MP3 file.

    15. Send the email.

    16. Download the file using your phone.

    17. Save to My Sounds in order to keep the audio after you delete your messages.

    That's it!!

Many probably know about this and it might even be posted somewhere. I didn't see it though.

I was surprised that it worked. I knew Verizon could send audio like that but I did not know MetroPCS would allow you to do that.

I didn't take much time to type this so I hope it is good enough.

This method also works with nokia 1606, and most likely the 1006.
