    stopping GPS tracking

My company tracks it's employees with the GPS in the Motorola i570.
Is there a way to disable it? I do not have the GPS password. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, even if you disable the GPS the company can still get a general idea about where you are. The tracking system will show what tower you are connected to.

If they enable it and you want to disable it. Than you will be fired. There is a reason why they want to track so that you are at the job sites.

i believe if you cover the surface your entire vehicle in aluminum foil, you may be able to create the faraday cage effect as long as you are in it

of course there's the other alternative...powering off the phone...but that's boring

If they want to know where I am, all they have to do is call and ask me. Tracking me just pisses me off and causes me to turn the phone off and remove the sim card. I was hoping for real, serious answers.

    Disabling GPS

    Hi there,

There's a gotta be a way through the RSS or cell menu system depending on the cellphone, because my friend did it. I will ask him and post it here for you.

Another tech guy opened the phone and found the AGPS chip and disabled it by cutting a trace or two. (not recommended).

    Laters!
