McCracken County, KY (think Paducah) will be up and running on August 16 according to AT&T network news. This might be the first time that they've ever preemptively announced such a launch.

Hilton Head and Bluffton, SC, as well as Athens, TN have also launched.

Indications of new 3G south of Farmington, MO?

I live in an area that is Edge, about 4 miles from 3G (South of Farmington, MO) and have recently seen the 3G icon pop up on my iPad. A few weeks ago it popped up at 3am in the morning. Then a couple days later at 9am. Last night it came up at 8pm and I had it solid till about 11pm then it disappeared. When it is on I get a solid 4-5 bars on the iPad. Any clues? I'm guessing/hoping that they have a new 3G tower about to come on and that they are testing/setting it up but have no clue about that process or how long it takes. Is this perhaps what is happening or am I just getting a stray 3G signal squeaking in by chance?

I skipped through the 2 threads but didn't see any mention of (Michigan City, Indiana)

On AT&Ts coverage map its a black hole for 3G..which sucks because I was thinking about getting a iPhone 4..

    (My ZIP code is: 46360)

Michigan City should get it by the end of the year.

3G is finally live in the fingerlakes region. Looked at my BB today while driving through Skaneateles, along the west side of Skaneateles lake, and the east side of Owasco lake. I assume Auburn is live now too.

I finally can stream XM on my phone while I cut the grass at the lakehouse. ATT did take a long time to get this going though, should have been done 3 years ago

    Fredericktown, MO is now on!

Not sure of the range but we've now had 3G steady since Friday, 10/1!! I'm assuming that means it is on for good.

If they did, most of it was spent in NYC, SF and L.A.. Not that those areas didn't need SERIOUS help from AT&T, but the rest of us need work too, and out here in CA, and the West little improvement was seen this year from AT&T outside L.A. and SF.

Casper, WY (divested from Alltel to AT&T)

It appears that we now have 7 or 8 coverted/completed towers here in casper, wy with AT&T. They are listed under peach acquisitions. So, hardware looks to be done now.

Any ideas on coverage for the Cedar Creek area in Texas? Some of the cities are Gun Barrel City, Mabank... There is like a circle of 3G around us but none here. Thanks guys!

Here's an AT&T map of my areas coverage. Look to the left and below the i20 marker. That's our lake.

We are on the east side of the lake only about a third of the way down. I'll upload a google map for reference as photovucket won't let me add a drop pin or marker from my phone onto that image.

Ok here's the google map for reference. See how I'm surrounded but no 3G for me? I need.

    Finally!

3G rollout in Ruston, LA complete. Only two years behind Verizon, not bad!
