I think my cat is jealous of my phones

This morning I was packing an old phone for shipment. I had the UBIQUIO 503G in bed while I was talking via a BT headset. My cat came in, rub her face all over the phone and then laid down on top of it, blocking reception. I managed to get the phone out of underneath her and when I was done talking and wrapping the package, I forgot about it and went to another room. When I needed to use the phone again, I came back and my cat had her paws (front arms) on top of the phone like guarding it, though she didn't object to me grabbing the phone. I found her doing something similar with my Epix last week but I've been keeping that one well guarded from her to avoid scratches.

Has anyone else seen something similar?

Was the device warm? Cats love warm surfaces/items/appliances.

Of course my cats are jealous of anything that detracts my attention from them (God forbid!).

Well, a bit, as warm as a GSM phone gets when it is in use and not charging.
