    Job Interview: #20934782

I know there is at least a thousand threads on this, but I'm going fishing here.

Just got a call back from the store setting up an interview.

What should I be expecting? How should I dress? Etc etc.

    Any details are appreciated.

Rule of thumb. Always dress to impress.
Expect alot of questions about how you conduct yourself, be honest and most importantly relax yourself. Everyone knows an interview is an uncomfortable situation, but if you can manage to remain calm and cool it will go alot better for you.

i say dont over do it a tie and slacks should be fine, as far as the questions

Can you think of a time when someone asked you to do something that you knew was wrong.

How would you over come an objection.

expect alot of questions like this.

wear a suit. and be prepared for questions like others have suggested
No longer a VZW employee, but still a good information source.

well i'm in a really small town area so this will be a one on one interview lol. i'm setting up the time on friday so it'll likely be next week.

I mean I could wear a suit but sounds like overkill....

I just realized the guy doing my interview is going to hate me lol.

Since I need to give my old job 2 week notice, and then in addition I have a vacation coming up Dec 28 - Jan 10....oh boy.

Wear a suit. Like another poster said "dress to impress"

IMO there is no such thing as "dressing too professional"

Remember, there are ALWAYS other people interviewing for the same position...anything you can do to stand out, do it.

Yeah if I was to watch someone walk in with a suit for a part-time retail job I'd be a little concerned about whether this guy is in touch with reality, he better nail that interview because if it's between him and the guy without the suit, I'm taking the no suit. For sure don't wear jeans though, unless you are really good.

thats really not a good attitude, you can make a good career out of selling wireless service and devices, I really enjoyed it when i did it. Its more than just a retail job, most people just want a phone but the the pdas can get very technicial.

    ive been there, done that.

the jobs changed over the past few years and ive been out of it for the past 2 years.

yeah, i do miss the money i got from doing it but not anything associated with it. it doesnt take much to learn the pdas.

this is just another retail job and going in with a suit is overkill.
