installing Opera on an enV2 (vx9100)?

So, I see that VZW is blocking the ability to download opera mini.

No problem, I have swapped out the WAP proxy to get around that.

But I still can't seem to get Opera to the phone.

I can upload the .jar and .jad file. But now what?

You Cant! simple as that. Opera is java. Your phone has BREW. the only browser you can use is the openwave browser that verizon uses. and also btw using an proxy is the same as using the verizon one on the browser using a proxy on that browser does not unlock anything
    Current Phone: AT&T XS Silver 256GB. T-Mobile / MetroPCS
Android device : Galaxy S9 RedPocket Verizon

    I am no longer a U.S.Cellular User.

Not with VZW (LG) feature phones--you are basically limited to installing/using what VZW itself offers via Media Center/Get It Now on the phone.

Sure, but none of the VZW LG phones have that, and especially not the LG VX9100/enV2.

You need a smartphone/pda device witn WIndows Mobile to install Opera, or a non-BREW phone running Java.

Based off of what I have read here, does that mean my Canadian Telus enV2 can support the browser?

I answered my own question. I have successfully loaded Mini Opera on my LG enV2 VX9100 using the method found in the Official enV2 Hack thread.

    I'm with Telus Mobility Canada.

Incorrect. Sprint is in the US and uses Java on their dumbphones.

I have an enV2 with Koodo. Java is disabled. As far as I can tell, Opera Mini and brew aren't so compatible. Is there a workaround for this, i.e. can I flash the phone with Telus firmware in order to get java rolling?

You'd have better luck asking in the Telus forum as this is carrier specific.
