Future Data plans + $30/6GB plan extended until end of Sept

The $30/6GB plan will be extended till the end of Sept - apparently to accommodate people who are going to get Bold.

Come Oct 1st there will be these plans which will work on any phone (they can be tethered or put on a data card):

    $15 for 2MB
    $25 for 500MB
    $30 for 1GB
    $60 for 3GB
    $80 for 8GB

There's also going to be a maximum charge of $100 data, even if you go over for people on dataplans.

*edit* whoops didn't see the news.

I am very disappointed at $15 for 2MB. It should be more like $15 for 100mb

I fully agree. Why is Rogers leaving the $15 data plan at only 2mb....

Come on Rogers it's about time to change the complete data pricing structure....not just some of them....

So it could kind of be unlimited data for $100?

Regardless, low end plans blow hardcore.

    totally agree with DerekToronto

if only $15 was for 150MB and I would be set. Not sure a lower price of $5 is going to get me to sign up. I travel too much to the states and a roaming cost of $10/MB is too high for me

it's sad how much we pay for data while AT&T is $15 for unlimited data.

While in Canada, it's cheaper for me to text with my Tmo phone than my Rogers

haha i think you mean $115 since you still gotta buy the $15 plan for 2MB :P

I was thinking the same thing. still a bit high but it was a LOT worst a year ago.

I believe the overage charges would be capped to $100 on top of the monthly fee

oh yeah, of course. i guess with so many data plans available ppl will get confused and forget that the price actually went up.

they leave the 15$ for 2mb for companies like where I work... we use hundreds of modems that only send small text files from data loggers, every day.

It's super small amount of data yet yet can still charge 15$ per month

They could at least do something like $15 for 50MB....
The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband.
