Went to line up for iPhone this morning. Got 10 people in front of me. And at 9, store opened. The store manager came out and told everybody that they can only accept new Rogers customer. He said that upgrade system was down.
Upgrade system can be down by itself!?
Someone asked how many phones they had. The store manager declined to answered.
I stood outside the store a bit, knowing well that it's all BS and they were trying to make more commissions. And then a new customer came out and said in fact the store did not have any stock at all. They were just signing in new customers (credit card and all) and telling them the store will call them later to come get the phone.
I tried to call Rogers CS to complain, and the CS told me to write a snail mail to Rogers regarding the issue. People still use snail mail!? (In India maybe??)

Why not just buy an N95-3 or N95-4? It does the same--and more. Plus you can change the battery on your own.
Where can I complain about this? I'm pissed.
If you call, no one will listen to you because they will think you just didn't get one / weren't eligible / want to scam, etc. Believe it or not, the best way to complain is by snail mail. People delete emails, but open letters.Originally Posted by avonord

True. I will write the snail mail. I suppose there is no complain department at Rogers? (If they do, it must be huge.)
So true... it will just take a little longer but if you e-mail you will just get an auto response by key words used haha.Originally Posted by JohnWowk
The store at 154 University did this too, even though one of the guys in line got on the phone with Rogers corporate and confirmed on speakerphone that it was a lie.
Jerks.
Should keep listing the stores doing this... will be some nice online publicity for them haha.
Your first mistake was waiting in line for that phone.

Was this a rogers video store?
If so send me who you spoke to if you have any names, i'll send you there area managers name and email. that is a no-no! and they have been told that.
No, it was not a Rogers Video store. It's a Rogers Wireless. I don't have a name, but the one who came out to notify all of us was for sure the store manager. There were 3 staffs in the store, and the one who came out was wearing a different shirt. Before he came out, they were having a meeting inside. Anyway, this is a very small store. So even if he's not the store manager, the store manager must be inside. It's a big guy with curly hair. Looks like an Italian or someone from the Mederterrean.Originally Posted by rci_rogers
If it was not a Rogers Video or a Rogers Plus store, it's not owned by Rogers and is a dealer. That will make complaining much more difficult.Originally Posted by avonord
