not true... this is perfect for the masses... just not the hofo masses...
but seriously for $100 you should be getting unlimited EVERYTHING...these plans are lame but.. $60 is just enough to get people to bite i think...
Not sure, $60.00 seems a corporate price. They should have tried to have voice+data for $45.00 to $50.00. Anything over $50.00 regular middle income (which in this day and age is majority) will not touch.
I agree with Nasa25, I sense a ghost town for those plans. You might see a few "suits" go in and get it, thats about it.
pretty piss-poor if you ask me. I still cant believe CallerID and Voice mail are not std features here like in other countries. Add the $6.95 system access fee and taxes, and the $60 is close approaching $100
I was getting 250DT, E&W @ 6pm, CID, VM for $23 + SAF = $30, then adding 1GB/$65 (so now that'd be $60... 300MB isn't enough for me). So I'd be paying $90 + tax (plus the few txt's that I send)
With the new plans, I'd get the $75 for 300DT, E&W @ 8pm (I'm assuming), 750MB, Visual VM (so I'm guessing VM is free with the packages?? ...it's not listed in the "add-on" packs) and 100 txts. I wonder if SAF is included or not. It'd be a much better package if it was included in the price. The only thing I'd add would be CID ($7?)... maybe early E&W if it's $5. So in total with the package, early E&W and CID I'd be paying $87+tax ($94+tax if SAF is extra).
So I guess it's around the same price as what I would have been paying in the first place (but with 50 more DT minutes, 250MB less, 100 txt's included, visual VM).
this is BS though.. why is their a need for a new crappy voiceplan.....my old voiceplan is fine and is compatible with EVERY PHONE and there's no reason it shouldn't work on the iphone.... i'd be happier with a standard (mandatory) add-on data plan.. but i guess they did the their homework and decided this would get the most rapage...lol stupid rogers...
unlocked, hacked and jailbroken can't wait.. the gray market MUST continue to thrive...
edit
i just realized they don't include caller id.. this is terrible....
I am an apple fanboy...and I will not be buying the iphone 3g! The plans are a ****ing joke!! The plans dont even include caller ID!! Rogers is a money grabbin' crack whore!
I hope no one buys the iphone in Canada to show Rogers that we won't tolerate unfair data pricing! I feel like they just rip me a new one!!!
Oh and where is i.Fido??? I said it before...Don't bring me up with the unlimited data $30, only to bring me down!!!!!! Thanks a lot i.Fido, you lost all credibility!!
