I'd give it a try if I had a windows computer handy or could get NSU to work with my virtual windows install. Dunno if the N95-4 firmware is available on either NSU or phoenix, but it's worth a shot. The screen resolution for both phones should be the same, so my guess is that an N95-3 running N95-4 firmware will have seven slightly smaller icons on active standby.
Please sir, I want some more.

i have tried flashing n95-1 software to n95-3 after changing product code via nsu but nsu still recognised the phone and wouldnt provide any updates for it.

Apparently Rogers is getting the N95. No word on whether or not its the -3 or -4. They got the K850, so I can definitely see them getting the N95. =S

Im definately a modder (with SE phones -- modded just about everything you can at some point), but I know NOTHING about how to flash nokia firmware. Do you guys just change the "product code" stored in the phone (or have some way to spoof it) then use the nokia update service? OR have 3rd party apps to flash what you want?

If you do a bad flash are they recoverable? Can you always reflash the device?

I know that with SE phones the OTP area will always load the flash loader and let you re flash , -- how bout with nokia's?

the n95-2 has flashlite 3 and demand paging. maybe you should try to flash with the recently released n95-2 v20 firmware with autorotation that just came out. use the norwegian product code.

Just hold up a while longer, guys. Don't frankenflash your damn handsets...LOL It would suck to get stuck with a dead N95, only to have new firmware for the -3 released a few days later

Nokia needs a good kick in the balls for screwing us -3 owners over, but I'm still holding out for an update. Maybe I'm a naive idiot? hehe

This is purely fantasy, but maybe we will get a FW update with the supposed announcements on Tuesday (which also may not happen!) - -
I want to buy your Nokia E7.
