    Data cards question

What one gives the best bang for the buck?

What should I look for in a card?

    Things to consider:
I will being using sprint mobile network as my main internet
The area I will be at doesnt have Broadband coverage( orange on the map) just dark green for voice.

    PC spec:
    C2C 1.8
    2gb ram
    Vista

And to double check, since I dont live in a OJ area of the map I should still get 3g?

S720 is rock solid for me and can work well in several routers for whole house coverage.

Think that is a bit much for me. I just need to connect my one laptop

Didnt want to start another thread so i figure I would ask here. Is the data plan a 2 year contract? I ask this becuase this is a short term fix.

Yes, it is a 2-year contract at $50/month for unlimited data. Since Rev A has been available I hardly ever switch my laptop back over to our home cable modem service. It is that good.

Right, the SERO price which is available to everyone is $49.99/month for unlimited data. The normal price is $59.99 but I am not sure why anyone would pay that when you can get it for $10 less.

I'm paying $39.99/month for PAM (phone as modem, unlimited also) and am overall satisfied with the speeds. Mine as well call it just short of DSL, though a hell of a lot better than T-Mobile's stone-aged GPRS/EDGE.

I think the Sierra Wireless cards are the best. Just make sure its RevA. I was helping someone shop for a vzw card and they still sell 1x cards!

If you have an express card slot, I have the EX720, and it has worked perfectly for me.

I prefer the usb cards. That gives you the ability to put them in any computer, laptop or desktop. Just my $.02
