    can't leave voicemail?

I called a friend of mine's Nextel and it's off so it goes straight to voicemail. But the operator says "this subscriber cannot receive messages at this time" What does this mean and/or why does this happen??

    Thanks!

Could it be the person's line has been switched to Sprint Direct Connect? If so, their voicemail is completely new, no transferring of anything voicemail-wise from a Nextel iDEN account to a Sprint CDMA account. Just a guess.

You do realize this thread was resurrected from 2006, right? I hate it when somebody posts in a long-dead thread and brings it back to the top of the pile.

Ouch. Yes, I am guilty of not paying close enough attention to the whole thread. I keyed on the latest post, which was posted yesterday by "Chy33", but it was my mistake to have not looked any farther back upstream than that one post.

Perhaps an admin can wipe out these recent posts?

Point taken, thank you for the verbal dope slap ;-)

Not your fault, dude, just pointing out something you may have missed.
