Anyone still use the Star-Tac and Timeport phones for Cingular?

Anyone still use these phones? I remember them being awesome, but I'm not sure if they are even compatible with the current Cingular networks? If they are, how would my reception be?

Because of limits of chemistry, the batteries in them older phones will be very near thier life expectancy, and probably will charge up, but will not have any capacity to speak of at all, maybe if you cycled them you may get 60-70 % back, but their life is near over man.

So is the phone, sorry, i know, i have some older sets that are still awesome phones, however they have done thier time and retired to the shelf of tech.

    Peace
