Move BYOP SIM with active line to another phone?

my reasons for swapping have been specifically to use devices not passing the IMEI check, interestingly though I have noticed that recently when 'adding a device' to be used on an existing line I am not asked for an IMEI but only the SIM card number. it is different if starting from tracfone...

incredible T-Mobile deal for business accounts

one thing that can be very confusing with T-Mobile prepaid and perhaps some wholesale options they sometimes pair and IMEI and SIM without completely locking the two togethers. with some T-Mobile prepaid activations at certain classifications of dealers when a new account is activated and IMEI...

Non VZW Activation as of June 2024

the first agent sent a new Verizon eSIM profile, i believe the first two agents thought they were migrating me properly but the system was making sure the service stayed on Verizon. the third agent was able to do whats necessary to move it to ATT

Non VZW Activation as of June 2024

pSIM re-reading one thing I did not mention above was with the third agent I specifically used a device(provided IMEI) that I knew was not compatible with Verizon, this may be critical. i believe(from past experiences as well) that if the device IMEI is VZW compatible they will not activate any...

Non VZW Activation as of June 2024

i agree for tracfone brand ATT was dominate for years. i don't know exact numbers but I do believe biggest tracfone brands by far: Simple Mobile, Walmart Family and Straighttalk. when I have tracfone customers porting numbers at my stores I very rarely see any ATT numbers anymore, VZW totally...

Non VZW Activation as of June 2024

i am pretty sure there are more T-Mobile than ATT customers on Tracfone and a lot more. Two of the biggest brands are Simple Mobile and Walmart Family mobile and both were historically T-Mobile only There were never any ATT only brands and they have been aggressive for years moving ATT...

Non VZW Activation as of June 2024

i just had success moving a TF/VZW line to a TF/ATT SIM. It was a rather bumpy road along the way. I chatted with 3 different agents and asked if they could assist in moving the line, I explained the device would be used in an area that the other networks did not have adequate coverage. Two...

incredible T-Mobile deal for business accounts

Has anyone actually had a problem recently after a TF/VZW SIM swap ?

just to confirm was the Samsung you activated on a BYOP or a Tracfone branded that came with a paired SIM ? did the iPhone work without any issues if you activated the service on it using a new BYOP SIM instead of moving an already active SIM from another device ?

Has anyone actually had a problem recently after a TF/VZW SIM swap ?

so my question to Paul was a little different. it was actually about the use of a new SIM card BUT providing a different IMEI than the phone to be used if the actual one is not accepted. this is a commonly discussed work around by Visible users but I have not heard reports from any tracfone...

Has anyone actually had a problem recently after a TF/VZW SIM swap ?

but have you used devices on TF/VZW that are Verizon compatible but the IMEI is not accepted by TF as compatible ? for example by providing an IMEI of a compatible device during activation ? i have without any issues but I see a lot of concerning posts from different people posting here and...
