Is there an online way to see if an IMEI will work on Sprint? I called in and the rep said the IMEI was invalid, but he read back the number twice and he had it correct.

Good question - I need to receive calls and texts on my US number while there.
I will use Sprint when I'm in Europe for a couple of months. Posted previously about the port to Google Voice process...
I have an exchange student in our house who soon will return to France and Orange. She wants to buy an iPhone 6 here that will work on Orange. Does anybody know if Orange allows BYOD?
Thanks - strongly considering the GV port option. Good info here as usual. I appreciate it.
Thanks for all the input - much appreciated!
Saw an ad for Sprint's 5 lines for $90 and plan to port from Verizon to Sprint. All 5 of us have iPhones so no new phones needed. Would plan to use the line for a month or so in the US and then in...
Heading to Europe for a few months and want to port my number to Sprint or TMo for better international rates. Will bring number back to VZW when I return to US. Don't want to lose the bonus...
Thanks for all the help. Bought this today and the Apple Store person asked if I needed a SIM and had a Verizon one for no charge. Very handy in saving a trip to the Verizon store.
I think I have answered my own question as the non-SIM mode does have the LTE band coverage used by Verizon and Movistar Spain.
Got it. And the non-SIM version will work on Verizon in the US and Movistar in Spain?
Thanks - dumb question then.... will I need a SIM to use this phone with Verizon in the US or Movistar in Spain?
Thanks for all the input. I've looked at buying at the Apple Store and at apple.com. When I try to buy online it I'm asked if I'm a new or existing AT&T customer. Is the only way to buy it without...
I need to buy an unlocked AT&T iPhone 6s for an exchange student living with us. She will take the phone back to her home country in May. I'm not an AT&T customer and can't switch to AT&T (long...
Thanks for the info. Glad to know we have compatibility and the details about repairs overseas.
We have a student from Spain living with us in the U.S. this year who will be upgrading to an iPhone 6s. Our family is on Verizon (please don't hate me!) Her family advised she needs to buy an AT&T...
With Verizon's plans to move to LTE, will LTE devices have the annoying "tic tic tic" interference that GSM phones sometimes exhibit when too close to speakers or a landline phone?
On my Verizon BlackBerry I can view the active SID and what I assume is the tower number - usually a three- or four-digit number. Verizon doesn't appear to broadcast the lat/long of the tower...
I truly appreciate all the advice here - you guys are great. I've been following XFF's analysis on PRLs which has helped me avoid some of the not so well implemented changes.
One thing I haven't...
I may have completely missed this, but was there a post with what changed in this PRL?
I agree - many thanks. I appreciate what you do for this forum.
We're in the Topeka (part of the Kansas City SID) and Denver markets. Of the phones checked, five of our BlackBerries in Topeka were automatically updated (i.e., the user did not perform *228) to...
First time I recall this happening, but Verizon automatically updated my phone (BlackBerry 8830) with this PRL. I specifically did not update it due to the concern with the change in Kansas...
How can I determine the coverage area for a provider's SID? In this latest change Unicel (1255) is now preferred over Alltel for some parts of Kansas (thanks, XFF, for that information). Alltel has...
Has anybody loaded this on a Blackberry?
