So it's legal to lock an unsubsidized phone?
That's not what I was referring to. Somebody mentioned purchasing a phone outright & once a SIM is inserted it becomes locked.
If a phone (any phone) is purchased not tied to any carrier. How does a carrier have a right to lock it? The carrier didn't subsidize it.
