Since I do not have an iPhone, I do not know where iPhone put their VoLTE settings. That is why I provided that link since that is only thing that I can find about VoLTE on Apple's site.

Look for VoLTE setting on the phone, and make sure VoLTE is enabled. Sounds like it is trying to use CDMA which is no long around, and there is a 3rd party tower carrier still with CDMA in your area....
