Dish has been sitting on spectrum for years and not using it. It is hard to believe they really want to enter the wireless voice/data business.
Oh man. Don’t get me started about Frontier. The day I cancelled my Frontier services is a day I will always fondly remember. Micro outages of a few minutes were almost daily occurrences.
I have...
Data point: I’ve been running 13.0 via the GM for about 1-1/2 weeks. It has been fine for me.
One of the reasons I avoid Samsung devices. It seems like in their attempt to come up with their own branded version of Android, they just make things worse.
Settings. Wallet and Apple Pay. Select the card you want to remove. Scroll to the bottom. Click Remove Card.
It didn't help me. Switching to AT&T prepaid was the fix.
Something changed in the last few months. Cricket used to work well for me. Was a Cricket/AIO customer for almost 6 years
Data point: I switched via one of my lines over via twitter support this morning. Took maybe 15 minutes. I had the EID ready in a form I could paste into a DM.
This kind of thing would make me less likely to vote Conservative.
For me, the decision to leave Cricket for AT&T prepaid after almost 6 years (since Sept 2013) with AIO/Cricket was just that my Cricket data service no longer works where I want it to work. Why would...
I've noticed this too. With Cricket, I would run into places on my commute where Waze/Spotify would simply not work on Unlimited Extra. Over the last month, I've been trying out AT&T prepaid...
There are apps for iOS and android that can block those calls and still let your contacts through.
It's not a valid phone number. There is no "owner"
Reports suggest that for Canadian emergency alerts turning off LTE is a workaround. Guess one could try doing that while sleeping.
You need line of sight to a satellite. Depending on terrain, trees, etc. you may need to wait until you have line of sight to get coverage, even outdoors.
This does reduce the utility of dual SIM phones bought from Verizon.
I agree here. Old analog, iDEN, and TDMA/IS-136 phones no longer function at all. Why should the deprecation of legacy 1x/CDMA be any different?
All I am really pointing out is terms of the thread topic is that with VoLTE, voice performance depends on data performance.
I was also trying to answer why the tech press is uninterested in...
It’s an interesting cultural shift really. 40 years ago, when the phone rang there was an imperative to answer it. There was no callerID and no voicemail. We all just answered with no idea who was...
Yes, it is deployed in many places and in more places as time progresses. It really depends on where you live and travel. For example, here in Seattle it should start to make a difference in early...
Voice quality on modern networks is mostly an artifact of pushing bits around - bandwidth, jitter, and latency matter. The codec also matters. Reception still matters because phones with better...
There's also some limited data here: https://www.pcmag.com/article/364775/the-lgv40-has-the-best-cellular-reception-of-any-phone
I am curious. Are the target deals offered online?
There is good science to suggest that disruption of sleep will increase traffic accidents the next day. This happens with every transition to daylight saving time. So the alerts when people are...
It is a good question, but we can't possibly know the answer with certainty. My guess would be that any phone with VoLTE on AT&T will eventually get VoLTE on Cricket.
