I had an issue with my PagePlus activation getting messed up. I forgot the details but the credits somehow expired early. I called customer service and they reset it giving me several extra months....

I don't know. Since he didn't actually say, it's pretty much up to the reader to fill the blank with what every garbage is floating around the gutters of his own mind. I think, "Crispy". That's all...

Interesting and valid thought. T-Mobile has cut costs in many ways, including 1) more internet sales, fewer corporate stores 2) alternative (perhaps less-robust) backhaul providers and 3) more...

I think we're discussing two different things. You're really into making VoLTE (HD) calls between carriers. I'm concerned that AT&T doesn't allow non-AT&T branded devices to use VoLTE on their...

I've read, but don't quite understand, that they're in "the catbird seat" in this merger. It has something to do with some clauses in their agreement with Sprint that protects their financial...

I believe that AT&T and Verizon want to pretend that VoLTE is something special and unique, so that they don't have to allow voice roaming at "reasonable" rates to competitors.

FDD uses two dedicated bands, one for download, the other for upload. The widths of the two bands is decided early on and does not change. All implementations that I'm aware of use equal quantities...

Probably the lack of CDMA roaming.

Yeah..... maybe not. From what I've read the roaming will be Sprint-to-T-Mobile, not T-Mobile-to-Sprint.

The problem with all FDD implementations (AFAIK) is that they are symmetrical. Usage is not symmetrical. There's a lot more downloaded than uploaded.

It's all relative. I had wireless CSD and FAX lines (in and out) at one time. They were so much better than 1200 bps dial-up. With WAP I could get a lot done over GPRS. Expectations have changed.

I've been trying to find out more about DSS (Dynamic Spectrum Sharing) irt the deployment of LTE and 5G together in the same band. From what I'm able to glean, DSS works two different ways:

I guess I'm the only one who recalls Nokia's Symbian smartphones? As I recall, they were dead reliable. My Nokia E61 predated the iPhone by several years.

Apparently, T-Mobile has looked at various LTE network sharing schemes wrt B41 and concluded it wasn't worth the effort. Scuttlebut says they plan to shut down Sprint's B41 LTE and repurpose the band...

For now, 5G will be a lot like 4G, just with a "5G" indicator. In a couple of years, with the addition of Sprint's band-41 spectrum, 5G will be much faster. My suggestion is that unless you need...
