Nice, looks like it took about a month more than other carriers.
From my experience, only cricket android phones work with cricket volte, hd audio or wifi calling. Unless its an iphone.
When i made the change, i called them to make sure it was done properly
I gave this a go and now i have Pie installed and its great! This was an awesome trick!
Thanks very much!161377
Interesting. I'll have to try that. Thanks
Is the phone the unlocked version, G960U1?
Ah i see. That's an unlocked phone now has verizon software on it. You can use cricket sim card but you're not able to get wifi calling on it thought, right?
How did you get the update??
It's the Cricket version. Since it's similar to the Att version, i was hoping it would be at the same time
As most other carries are getting Pie update for S9, how far behind would Cricket be?
This is still the magic I was looking forward to. However, my S9 won't have any of that nonsense.
Got it for $1.98 on ebay
Reporting back to help others.
Got the white sim card for my S9. Can confirm wifi calling works perfectly.
I'll say everyone needs the new sim card to get the most out of their service.
$35 5GB plan
When i tried my green sim in an iphone, wifi calling worked without a problem.
Here's what ive noticed on my S9. A new white sim card turns on the wifi calling, no problem at all and works well. When i put in the old green card, it says enabled but doesnt actually work. Now i...
From my experience, its pretty fool proof on iphones.
I'm still struggling with a supported Galaxy S9 that was bought from cricket! Arrg!
Excellent. Thanks
Can someone test it out please on an android. Im trying to do that on a Galaxy S9, but doesn't work.
People with android wifi calling, are you able to put the phone in airplane mode and use wifi calling?
Or any phone that's wifi calling compatible
I'm moving to a Galaxy S9 to fix this issue. If I liked iOS, it would have been cheaper option to get an older model iPhone.
I've done all that but i didn't have the option to turn on wifi calling on the phone. It didn't automatically install the cricket software.
I wish this was easy. I've been trying all day with all different carrier firmwares but with no luck.
You first put it in the iPhone?
Activate WiFi calling and then move the Sim to S8?
