• Samsung and the F Word

Today Samsung launched their Galaxy S20 FEand for us lucky North Americans the S20 FE 5G. I didn't really get it either, until I read the byline from the press release: "Fan Favorite Features at an Accessible Price Point". This phone also replaces the Galaxy S10 Lite from earlier this year, so maybe that'll help going forward.

Specs for the 5G-enabled FE are as follows:

6.5 inch flat FHD+ 120 Hz Super AMOLED Infinity-O display
    Snapdragon 865 processor
    6 GB RAM / 128 GB storage + microSD
    12 MP ultra-wide / 12 MP wide / 8 MP telephoto rear cameras
    32 MP selfie cam
    4,500 mAh battery
Cloud Lavender / Mint / Navy / Orange / Red / White colourways
    $950 CAD
$699 USD ($749 for MmWave support on Verizon)

Fans can pre-order their FEs starting today; regular sales start on October 2nd.

My Samsung Galaxy J3 Orbit serves my purpose just fine and it was only $79 . I don`t need to use the "F" word.

Agreed, I too just recently replaced a discarded Galaxy S II which can't accept many apps because of its age with the Galaxy J3 Orbit, and Android 9 Pie. I'm not at all a power user and for $29 it is a very good phone for me. I don't have $111 or $600 or even $300 to spend on what amounts to a second computer. I already have a few of those.

      Phones shouldn't cost over $400.

Well, I attempted the unlock on my AT&T Smartflip. I used a TracFone Verizon SIM and a Hello Mobile (T-Mobile or Sprint?) SIM, both inactive.

I was surprised at how much B41 there is along that stretch. The site at exit 202 has 2x 41 carriers along with 25/26.

Through the "Messaging" application, I don't see such an option. I use a Samsung S9+ running Android 10. Possible that a different application can allow you to export or forward those messages.
