As a MOTO Q user and a member at qusers.com/forum I came across this post on a forum EVDOforums.com
People are having their EVDO terminated because they were in violation of TOS.
1. Unlimited NationalAccess/BroadbandAccess services cannot be used (1) for uploading, downloading or streaming of movies, music or games, (2) with server devices or with host computer applications, including, but not limited to, Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, Voice over IP (VoIP), automated machine-to-machine connections, or peer-to-peer (P2P) file sharing, or (3) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections. (From Verizon Wireless website.)
2. NationalAccess and BroadbandAccess data sessions may be used with wireless devices for the following purposes: (i) Internet browsing; (ii) email; and (iii) intranet access (including access to corporate intranets, email and individual productivity applications like customer relationship management, sales force and field service automation). (From Verizon Wireless website.)
It can be understandable of a person did violate one of these because it is in their TOS, BUT people are being terminated for having +10GB downloads using EVDO for their work or business. Some users use their service to download from sites or exchange files on servers and/or read email. Its ridiculous how Verizon is termination service to those who arent really in violation of TOS. They have no way of seeing if the user is actually doing anything that goes against TOS. Verizon employees, any input on this? Also, they shouldnt be putting up "Unlimited" as their advertisement, it should actually be "Less than or equal to 10 GB per month".

idk how much bandwidth vzw has but i think that vzw has not released nationalaccess and broadbandaccess correctly. vzw is not prepared to deal with the bottlenecks and other issues associated with normal users and power users using the connection in an unlimited way. plus when users see the broadband in broadbandaccess, they think of their own broadband connection which is "always on" and has high download and upload rates.

Verizon has started enforcing their Terms of Service. While not targeting a specific application, instead, they are canceling users who use more than 10GB of bandwidth in a single month. The terminations are on the unlimited data plans .

Verizon should send a letter first, warning the user about exceeding 10mb/month. THEN dump that person if they continue to rack up mb.
Verizon should also advertise 10mb a month, not unlimited, because it is misleading.
Overall, bandwith per tower is finite. Getting rid of slingbox users, etc., will free up ALOT of bandwith for the average user who might never go over 1-2mb per month. Let Sprint have to deal with 10-100mb users and slow their system down.

I think he said 10GB per month Its true though all the carriers have a limit to their "unlimited" plans. Sprint awhile back was sending warning letters to customers that were using a ton of data and many reported that they were actually using an allowed application (music streaming) on their Treos and then the Sprint customer service rep would make a note in their account and say..."nevermind"
Apparently Verizon has made a lot of limitations in the fine print.
Yes BroadbandAccess services cannot be used with server devices or with host computer applications according to TOS. Technically, then you can't do much at all.

That's pathetic. Sprint is now having posts elsewhere about people being terminated. Unlimited should be UNLIMITED not limited and sold as "Unlimited"..
For $59 it should be unlimited. I would never pay more then that.... That already is too much.

just to let everyone know, the better business bureau is available for consumer protection of companies who are unethical or break the law. so if you your contract gets terminated, contact the bbb at bbb.org.
essentially if enough people file complaints, something might be done. afterall this is false advertising.
