PPC 6700 - Call Filter Needed (besides Photo contacts pro)

Photo Contacts Pro is terrible. If you opt to ignore certain calls it will ring twice and hang up on them, obviously telling the caller you wish to ignore them. Is there a better program out there?

That never happens to me. Did you install it into your memory or SD card?

i have it installed to regular memory. Try to call your phone while having that # ignored by photocontacts. It will ring twice before hanging up on them. Also if the phone is running low on resources the persons picture actually pops up for a second before getting cut off.

Any updates on this?
Im pretty dissapointed in the call filter optinons for the 6700. The call filter I used on the treo650 worked flawlessly..

On the 6700 there isnt an option to just ignore the call and let it ring w/o having it pop up on the screen.

This is really making me consider a differnet phone. thanks guys

Try this program: http://pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=22993

let us know if it works for you. You can also try to call your service provider and ask them about services for blocking certain numbers if that's what you're looking for.

i use pocket x make sure u got the right options set.. there is reject and ignore.. if u reject it sends to voicemail after one ring.. all that happens on my phone when someone calls in is i get the small phone icon on the taskbar and then a missed call icon i dont get any ring/vibrate or pic popping up im using 4.01 so maybe its ur settings.. i love photo contacts specially since the 4.x releases they made some HUGE changes

There is two options on version 4.01, reject or silent.

with silent on, the phone doesnt ring.. but the picture shows up and you CAN answer it by mistake. The phone call goes through the ringer is just off.

with ignore on, the person is hung up on.

Rejecting a call in a CDMA phone does not have the same effect as in a GSM phone. This is why the OP is "hanging up" on the callers instead of sending them to voicemail.

It appears that the developers of PhotoContacts Pro only test with GSM phones.

Wirelessly posted (Qtek S200: Dopod818Pro/Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows CE; PPC; 240x320; Dopod818 Pro))

I'm using "call sms blocker"... It works fine on my qtek s200... it's very low in memory and cpu usage... It can even block sms... I think you can find it at winmobileapps.com

Hi Luis,

Photo Contacts PRO works by automatically pressing the Ignore button on your phone. The caller will still hear a ring or two since the phone is connected to the network – that is the only way it can work.

The only to completely get rid of the ring would be unsubscribe from the network (enable flight mode). This is not very useful though, since you would be completely unreachable to everyone.

Best Regards,

Lisa
