Motorola has released new software for the V3C. This software includes running changes from the previous version. This upgrade includes fixes for the following issues:
• Device continues to display a data connection after ending the application
• Improved menu response and speed
• M-F Alarm Clock set and will alert on Saturday
• Ability to view all inbox messages via right/left navigation button after opening a

Could anyone confirm if this will disable OBEX, I currently have Version 2. Guess I will have to go in to Verizon tomorrow and get a upgrade.

AFIK, version 3 onward actually deletes OBEX. Version 2 merely disabled OBEX.

it's about time they did something about the problems. The biggest problem of all has still yet to be solved: The Verizon UI. That thing is just crushing this phone.

Usually assume 1hr for them to do the upgrade.. If the store is busy, allow more time...

Like most newer phones, the Razr takes a looooooong time to flash if you have a lot of stuff on it. Hour at least

All I need the bluetooth to do is to pair with my car or any bluetooth equiped cars. If they don't use OBEX then I don't have anything to worry about. I have .03 now and enabled the AT Command to connect with MPT.

Do all the UI/MPT hacks still work, such as removing the Verizon Wireless text banner, and allowing the transfer of custom ringtones and background images? I'll upgrade the phone if I still have that capability.

I'd just wait for someone in Hofo to upload it so I can do it myself. I don't have an hour to waste at the store.

I'm going to wait for someone else to get it on their phone so I am sure it does not disable MMS in MPT or disable some other feature that works on my phone after seem editing.

If it does not fix the bluetooth headset disconnect problem, it is useless anyway.

No. Version 2 did not disable OBEX. It is fully enabled (no seem edits required).
