How To Unlock I860 With Any Sim

Ok, this requires absolutely NO software... at all.
ever.

This method has to be done every time you power off and power back on.
This will unlock for iDEN networks, but not for GSM. Only phone that can be unlocked for GSM is i930

This is the method you use....

-power off the phone
-change your SIM with SIM you want the phone unlocked for.
-Power on the phone and CONTINUE TO HOLD DOWN POWER BUTTON
-You will see T9 image, java image, but CONTINUE TO HOLD DOWN POWER BUTTON
-Once you see "Airplane Mode Activated", Hit END CALL WHILE STILL HOLDING DOWN POWER BUTTON
-You will now be in the main screen. You can now RELEASE the power button.
-Go to Settings > Advanced > Airplane Mode > Off (this turns airplane mode off)
-It will ask you "Allow Transmissions?"... You will enter YES, and then once it says "Please Wait", hit END CALL again.
-Now just wait and soon the phone will beep with service. You can now use your SIM.

This means you can unlock the Tattoo i860 for Nextel Service... for free.

For Telus, Boost and NEXTEL.... this method works perfect.

instead of holding the power button down. before u cut off your phone, turn off transmitters switch sim and then turn back on. this is theoretically a faster way, if it actually works.

Please learn to post in the proper sub forums. You've been here long enough to be able to do that. Thanks. Thread moved.

Its a thread on unlocking, which (unless this actually works, which I am a little doubtful of) will still require software to perform. Its also where all other threads on this topic are located.

Thread closed, since it won't head anywhere good. Its obvious that "rikashae" didn't come up with this on his own--its pretty easy to tell. Whether or not it works remains to be proven. As with any hack or software modification, what you do with your phone is up to you, and is entirely your fault. Just because one person says it works doesn't mean it will or won't.

rikashae, you've been posting here for a while now, its time to learn how to do it correctly. Learn to use the proper subforums--I've told you this myself several times. Learn to post properly, which means when you post info like this, give credit where its due. These are rules that we expect to be followed here on Howardforums--there are consequences to not following them.

xplod--no need to cuss him out, as I said its plainly obvious this isn't "from the mind of rikashae". Feel free to PM me if you or the "inventor" of this would like to have another thread linked to give credit, and can add that in (at the very least give a username to give credit to).
