Tou, What’s up with the EVDO on the 960? All of the other EVDO capable Samsungs show up as Digital Dualband Phone in regards to FCC label pictures. Yet the 960 shows Digital Triband Phone on its label and under notes on it FCC page shows as Dual-Band CDMA...

Is it just a screw up in labeling? The three previous were labeled correct at FCC filing. Or is it something we don’t know about?

Anyhow I like it... I dont need an MP3 player and I like the fact that the camera lens has a cover...

V/R,
Nick

I guess I am going to go contrary to popular opinion thus far and say I really like the design of this phone. I don't think it's ugly at all, and am very happy that it is a design that is different from any other on the market t the moment... Sprint needs uniquely designed phones like this IMO

I'm not sure why the lens cover is so thick though... I'm not sure I like that... it seems that being that thick it'll get caught on things when being pulled out of a pocket...

You say it has a TF slot right? Where is it? I do not see it on those pictures unless it is at the bottom of the phone under the plastic cover... though that is likely where the charger goes...

But, I like it! What's the button on the front under the round LCD do?

Looks like there are 2 "ports" on the bottom to me.

"Sprint also has options if their plan fails. We have obtained intelligence recently that Sprint will deploy on the 2.5 GHz spectrum if they are unable to obtain sufficient 700 MHz spectrum. However, the inherent advantages of 700 MHz spectrum over 2.5 GHz spectrum, combined with the added ability to strike a major blow to dissent from Sprint’s vision of WiMax makes it a battle well worth fighting to Sprint. 700MHz CDMA? I don't think so.
CDMA450 perhaps? Hrm. Or...a typo!
I think a typo is the most likely reason...the FCC filing says dual-band.

We've seen FCC misprints before. (calling some EVDO phone or another 'tri-mode'). That is the most likely occurance. While Sprint owns large amounts of 2.5ghz spectrum, it is unlikely that they will use it for anything other than 4G data services. Possible acquisition of 700mhz spectrum would not happen for several years, and it is much too soon for manufacturers to begin supporting this.

As to the physical appearance of the 960: I like it. I'm surprised, honestly, that its a flip like all of Samsungs other highend Sprint phones atm. (A800 aside). I do think it will draw attention, though.

IMO it was about time we got to see something way differnet coming to Sprint in the near future.. The only one thing I dont like about it is the fact that for a Media Phone, it does not have the dedicated bottons like the A920m 900 and 940 have.. But it looks very cool to me..

Would be nice to know it's release date? Anyone?
