Lightbulb ericsson t61c wap set up

Ok, 2 days of searching and I found the answer.
First, to get in to the service menu of the phone you gotta do this:
923885 right (joystick) will enter long programming...to check lock code, security code, wap settings and couple other things.

It will take you to the NAM programing Menu
Select #5 WAP Params.
Pick the Gateway (1,2 or 3) you desire to edit
WAP menu is very self explainatory:
Primary IP: use IP for EDG or WAPtunnel
Secondary IP: same as Primary IP
Home URL: is your home page which could be edited later or you could set it up now (Google, yahoo, etc.)
Port:9203 (secure port)
Bearers: leave that option alone
Linger timer: leave this option alone
You are done!

P.S.
Here is the codes to get in to the service menu and test mode of the SE T61c (use them at your own risk, coz I only tried the one above)

987 right (on the joystick) or menu will enter NAM programming
923885 right (or menu) will enter long programming...to check lock code, security code, couple other things
904090 right (or menu) will enter field test mode

Exclamation LG VX4400/VX6000 Free WAP Setup

FREE WAP FOR LGVX4400/VX6000

In this tutorial I'll run through how to set it up using WAPTunnel's gateway. You can use any other gateway you wish, such as 3AM or EDG, just replace the WAPTunnel IP and Port with the respective ones for the other gateways. Okay, here we go.

Here's the IP and Port you need for WAPTunnel: IP=207.232.99.109 Port=9201

For other portals look here: http://directory.google.com/Top/Com...ta/WAP/Portals/

STEP 1 - Go to MENU then 0 . At that Service Code prompt enter 000000. This will allow you access to the service menu. Then press 9, this will take you into the WAP settings.

STEP 2- For the new service, use WAP Proxy 2. Enter 1 for IP setting, then 4 this will take you to Link2-IP1. For Link2-IP1 enter 207.232.99.109. Press OK.

STEP 3 - Press 2 for Port Setting. Then press 4 for Link2-Port1 and then enter 9201. Then press OK.

STEP 4 - Press the END key to get back to the standby screen.

STEP 5 - Start your web browser. NOTE=It will not initially work since you are no longer using Verizon's service to get on the web. Don't worry about it. After you've started your browser while it is trying to connect PRESS AND HOLD THE ZERO KEY. This will take you into the browser menu.

STEP 6 - Once in the browser menu, press 6 for Advanced. Then 2 for homepage. For a homepage you can enter http://www.google.com/wml

STEP 7 - Go back to Advanced. Then press 3 for Set WAP Proxy and switch to Proxy #2. After this you may either be prompted for a homepage or be sent to Openwave's homepage. When this happens, go back and repeat STEP 6.

That's it. Should work. You can also build your own homepage and incorporate links onto it for other places on the web you'd like to visit. But I have no experience with that, so you're on your own.
The following link will help you with setting up a homepage: http://www.rogerbinns.com/vx4400/vx...tml#ownhomepage

One last note: I pulled all this information from rogerbinns VX4400 FAQ and tried to break it down into an easy step by step process to avoid confusion.

For those who've asked to speak to me over AIM about this, everything in this tutorial is exactly what I'd tell you anyway, so if you have any additional questions about this, please post them in this thread.

I also found these step by step directions in a post from the LG Forum. Not that there's anything wrong with your instructions Frail, I just thought I'd give everyone another view. Hope I'm not being disrespectful.

LG TM-510 free wap faq

Guide to getting free wap on the lg tm-510

1. Go to menu.
2. Hit 3 to go to the system menu.
3. Hit 0, Enter Service Code should appear on screen.
4. 000000 is the code to enter the service section.
5. Hit 6 "Wap Setting".
6. Write down the ip in Ip Setting Link 1-1 incase you want to go back to it.
7. For Ip Setting Link 1-1 input the ip that you want to use for free wap (i used the 1-1 slots because I couldn't figure out how to set the 2nd ip settings as default).
8. For Portsetting link 1-1 port write down the port incase you want to use it again (9203 on my phone).
9. Input the port for the free wap server.
10. Ok out of those screens and hold the zero key.
11 You may be asked to enable security which is fine.
12. Once you are on the web hold zero again to bring up the web menu where you can set up your prefrences and homepage.

hope this helps, i know the tm-510 is an older phone but a lot of people still have one.

Motorola v60i WAP setup

Menu->Settings->Browser Setup->[New Entry]

For the name you can put Waptunnel or whatever you'd like

For homepage you can put something like http://wap.oa.yahoo.com or another WAP page of your choosing.

For WAP IP 1 put 207.232.99.109 (this is for Waptunnel)
For WAP Port 1 put 9201

Leave username and password blank.
Speed is 14.4

You shouldn't have to mess with any other settings.
