Nokia N900 ordered.... waiting for WIND/DAVE to launch so I can enjoy that 3G goodness.
Thanks for the links, what worries me is the crtc is stacked with former big 3 execs, it really makes you wonder with all the crap the big 3 have been doing in all parts of their telecom business, just how have they gotten away with just half stuff they have done, I can see this this being dragged along at a slow pace just to buy time and lock up all the people the big 3 can get a hold of, their retention depts seem like they have been working overtime, all I can do is watch and hope.
jim_l: so far it sounds like, who is going to call the shots, Globalive or Orascom, Telus sounds very worried and they should be, this argument Telus is giving sounds more like, I don't want anybody else playing in the big 3 groups sand box, oh here comes Rogers.
What do you think jim, an attempted stall and or maybe Telus will actually have to compete.

What made me laugh is when Telus was asked if Globalive was allowed to do business what kind of affect would that have on Telus's business would they make or loose money.. LOL... Telus answer. "I don't know" what a lie. Of course they know they will loose money they just don't want to admit it. It does seem like Orascom hold the majority of the company, it is a stupid law and will be interesting how the CRTC rules..
Looks interesting so far, july 30th globalive knew this hearing was gonna happen.. It does look odd that they are now saying they are ganged up on.. and the last min shuffle to make ownership look better shows some fault. Dirty pool I tell ya on both sides.

They've always said that they're being hounded by the Big 3. The change announced today is showing the willingness of Globalive to act in good faith with regards to the CRTC hearings.

I agree with you, but the people of Canada have been forced into paying some of the highest wireless rates in the world, this wouldnt be a problem if the rates were reasonable, the big 3 have preached capitalism, yet they have practiced corperate communism.
Is it a last minute change or was it just strategically reported on the day of the hearing by the Globe & Mail... which by the way is owned by BCE and Ontario Teachers' Pension (who also has a stake in BCE).
