Doesn't matter what their reason was...the fact is Fido pulled it.

Rogers gets it?!? wow.
they have SO many smartphone options, and Fido just released a no-frills sub-$100 handset. that's crazy.
yeah nokia rep just told me that there are a lot of upset people at fido.
This is at a rogers pre-q4 launch event. Said big red is taking it instaid of the puppy
Sad face. I have a lot of fido bucks too. ( not to mention waiting 2 months so far for an iPhone)
Well now, Rogers got to make up its mind. Either allow Fido to continue to sell low end plans or give the Fido folks some high end phones in order to sell the $80 FullFido plans. You cant possibly expect people to sell the premium plans with phones like the nokia 2670 just released.
seems to me Fido is in no man's land right now. they dont have the low end plans like those of Koodo (EPP plan aside, which is to be expired soon) or high end phones like those of Rogers. if rogers want to keep fido a low end brand well then give the dog more low end plans to fight with koodo; or, if they want fido to move to the upper market well then give the dog some hardware to do so. sometimes you dont know what theyre trying to do.
if this keeps up, the fido brand will disappear in the next couple years
Places that sell unlocked phones have the Older -2's for more because they are the ones without problems, some places even send them back and re order to get good batches.
I dont know all the details I just know it has 3G problems.
I have seen them, no 3G outside while my Q9h and RAZR2 get 3G.their 3G comes and goes and speeds are poor.
Never heard of THAT before - care to find out and post details? Production dates?! I have YET to see this in the reception thread in the S60 forums which is over 30pages long. Those of us that have unlocked E71-2s never heard such a thing. Maybe it was due to fido's branding.
I only have 3 irda converters and the kids go MAD on it during the nights, I'm either in front of them right beside the TV or passing them as my phone is used at a modem for my work laptop for weeks until I got my WiFi router and NO 3G issues. IrDA is not constantly on and I have yet to know anyone STILL using it as a modem gateway.
Then they could reciprocate with good data plans that aren't specific to their crappy handsets (or perhaps, maybe somehow implied depending on who you talk to on what day, depending on the moon phases etc)!
