Cricket wireless internet

Cricket service is coming to my city on June 10. I notice on their web site that they offer wireless internet for your computer for $40 a month. What speeds could I expect with this? Also, do you have to pay extra for the modem? DSL and Uverse is not available to me and I have avoided getting involved with cable so I'm stuck on dial up. I'm just looking for alternatives and would appreciate anyone's experience with Cricket wireless internet.

approx 800k down link. that is sustained not burst speed. it is roughly equivalent to your most basic dsl package available. if your market has rev. A then your upload speeds would be a little higher than the rev. 0 markets.
