Hotmail on ur BIS(Free)

Lots of people finding difficulty adding hotmail address through BIS
Eg, XXX@(hotmail.com / msn.com)

and here you go ^^

First, try if you can assign ur hotmail address through BIS directly or not, if the following page appears

then go to this website, download the software (**Click ALL)
http://www.windowslive.com/

after the software is being installed, windows live mail looks like ... this

**LOG IN FIRST**, then go to Tools -> Options

Click Advanced -> Maintenance

Click
1)POP3
2)IMAP
3)HTTP
the Close -> OK

NOW!!! Final step, go back to BIS, and try to set it up again
and you will see ....

Note:
Just in case for whom is new to blackberry, here is the BIS link where you set up your email addresses to your blackberry device
https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=rogers

hope it helps!

Just a quick update:
Although it seems to add it on the BIS side of things I have not received one email yet on any of the 3 hotmail accounts I added. Yes I have sent test emails as well.

Well it officially doesn't work for me. It added the accounts just fine but it won't actually sync the email. Anyone else have this problem?

sending from the hotmail account works. waiting to receive right now. I'm using the blackberry unbranded BIS and i only waited a few minutes, not the suggested 20.

This may work for sending but it is my understanding that it is impossible to have Live/MSN/Hotmail pushed to our Blackberries unless of course you pay for POP

Its not impossible, because my .msn email has always worked with bis, and I think its because I've had this email address for 8+ years. I did not have to follow the procedure listed here, its always worked natively
