I guess the only way to make full use of this phone is to debrand it, but i doubt theres a flash file out yet for it.... I'm getting the phone on Monday, but it's gonna be 1-2 weeks before we can expect to find a software flash to debrand it....

Unlocking it wouldn't do the trick, right? (to enable your mp3's)

Probably not but don't worry yet ozzyg007. I'm not done playing yet. I've only tried using the Samsung software to try to upload MP3s so far. I haven't even begun throwing stuff onto the memory card and moving them using the phone yet.

Hey Guys...

i bought the same phone this week...i love it...but the mp3s not being able to set as a ringtone is a piss off...also i tried install games on it...but supposely its only able to get games trough WAP...so i try now making a wap site...and ill let u knoe if it works or nut...but we gotta do something with this mp3 protection...i was looking for codes to disable it...but nothing i found for a736

still nothing...im downloading a unlocking software...but this phone is too new...also its better if u search for the a737...its the same **** as the 736

hey guys jsut got this phone yesterday AND I HATE the fact that i cant use mp3s as a ringtone any insight on this problem being solved?

we r still working on it...ive read an other forum that unlocking the phone might help...or try to deactivate the java application protection or somethin like that...personally i try as hard as i can!!!

k guys ive figured out how ta cheat the system. i did some research and all the phone companys are drm locked now. so all u need is a drm packager that u can download from the internet. convert the files and instead of transfering it though the phone all u need to do is transfer it using a card reader. AND BOOM U SAVE MONEY$

no it does work, im using it right now
u jsut have to send it to ur microsd card using a card reader
instead of using the pc studio

It works !! no need to debrand my phone, all that's left for me to do is figure out how to unlock it....

It worked for me but I used the Sony Ericsson DRM Packager. You should be able to find it on the forums if you do a search. If you still come up with nothing, PM is the key.
